BAND OPPORTUNITY
Success brings more success. On January 11th, 2003,
Donna
the Buffalo and 800 of its fans, known as “The Herd”, set sail
for an amazing week-long cruise to the Caribbean on the Norwegian
Sun. Shortly thereafter, the business manager of moe. set the wheels
in progress for a similar event. On March 7th, 2004, Rhythms at
Sea Cruises (formerly called Rock the Boat Cruises) hosted
moe.
and its fans, affectionately known as the “moe.rons”, on the Norwegian
Sun. It was hard to tell who had more fun……..the fans or the band
members and their families. On February 11th , 2006 the
New
Orleans Radiators and its fans, known as “Fish Heads”, began
their cruise. Having survived the rage of Hurricane Katrina, it
was a joy to see the band members re-connect with their fans. They
danced and partied into the wee hours of the mornings.
When you do something “right” your customers come back. Each of the three bands that Rhythms at Sea hosted on a cruise came back for a second cruise. In January of 2007 moe. sailed again, that time on the Norwegian Jewel. Some think that it was even better than the first cruise in 2004. In January of 2008 both Donna the Buffalo and the Radiators sailed for the second time.
As the word filtered out to the music community, Rhythms at Sea
started getting phone calls from bands throughout the country.
We are now ready to expand our services to all genres of bands and
recording artists.
In order to insure a successful cruise, the following criteria have
been established:
The band or recording artist must:
• have a national or international following
• be connected to their fan base by e-mail
• have a web site that their fans check regularly
• have a fan base that would follow them to
“any place in the world”
We look forward to hearing from representatives of bands and
other artists that would like to explore the possibility of having
Rhythms at Sea Cruises plan and coordinate a profitable week of
cruising and performing.
